CHISA 2018 Congress venue
The CHISA 2018 Congress will take place in the Congress Hotel Clarion, address: Congress Hotel Clarion, Freyova 33/945, Praha 9-Vysočany. The venue can be reached by Metro line B to station Vysočanská (underground railway), hotel is directly next to the metro station (please follow the indicators to hotel).
Arrivals, registration and Congress opening
It is assumed that Congress participants will arrive and register on Saturday, 25 August 2018. The Congress office (Hotel Clarion, 1st floor) will be open for registration, accommodation and information on Saturday, 25 August at 11–19 h. and on Sunday till Wednesday at 8–17 h.
The Congress will officially begin with the Festive Congress Opening on Saturday, 25 August at 19.30 h. in the Congress Hall and adjacent rooms in Clarion hotel.
Registration in Congress Office at the Congress Centre
Opening hours: 25 August, 11-19 h and 26 – 29 August 8-17 h. All additional payments of Congress fees, services and accommodation ordered through the CHISA 2018 Accommodation Service, should be paid only in the Congress Office. In Hotels, please pay only for extra services (extra meals, telephones, parking etc.).
Currency: The currency in the Czech Republic is the Czech Crown (Kč = CZK). Exchange rate depends on exchange office and current exchange rate. Approximate exchange rates are currently: 1 EUR = 25.5 CZK, 1 USD = 24 CZK. In shops, foreign currency is not generally accepted; however, there are numerous exchange offices all over the town.
Arrival
At the Hotel, lists of persons accommodated by the CHISA 2018 Accommodation Service will be available at the Reception. Please just give your name and you will be accommodated (do not make any accommodation payments at the Hotel).
In case you have not enough time to do the congress registration on Saturday 25 August, go directly to the Congress Opening Ceremony. You can register during Sunday.
Public transport from airport to hotels
- To Clarion Congress Hotel Prague (approx.1 hour):
Public bus No. 100 to Metro B station Zličín (18 minutes journey, operates from 5–24 h. daily in 5–30 min interval). Bus station is close to terminal exits. Ticket price is 32 CZK in ticket machines or in newspaper stands, but 40 CZK if bought from driver and is valid for 90 minutes in all Prague transport means (Metro, tram, bus). Metro yellow line B goes directly to the station Vysočanská (hotel Clarion) – 33 minutes journey.
You can use also Airport microbus CEDAZ service (white microbuses, with 8 seats or 12 seats). During day time, microbuses depart every half an hour to the street V Celnici in the city centre (CSA downtown terminal), price of 8 seat bus 150 CZK/person, operates 7:30-19 h. V Celnici you can take metro line B station Náměstí republiky to Vysočanská (6 stops).
Airport taxi service:
From the airport we recommend "Taxi Praha" [phone (00420)14007, or (00420) 222 111 000]. The best way is to order it in the Taxi Praha Kiosk in the arrival hall; driver will pick up you and luggage. The basic price is 28 CZK/km. Price from the airport to Congress Hotel Clarion is about 700 CZK. Credit cards are accepted.
When in town, we also recommend using yellow "AAA taxi" which provides a reliable service [phone (00420)14014 or (00420) 222 333 222]. They will usually arrive in 10 min. at no extra charge. Service at hotel/hostel reception will order taxi for you.
Airport Express bus to Metro station Dejvická (operates from 5:30–22:30 h. daily, marked AE). Time interval is 30 min. and the price is 60 CZK. Tickets are sold only by the bus driver.
Public transport system
Three underground - Metro lines A, B and C, trams and buses. The journey to the city centre from Metro station Vysočanská to Metro station Můstek (Václavské náměstí) takes about 6 min. Tickets can be purchased at the airport or at all Metro stations at ticket vendors. The price of the ticket is 24 CZK valid for 30 mins. (short distance), 32 CZK valid for 90 mins. (basic), 110 CZK valid for 24 hours, 310 CZK valid for 72 hours.
You will receive a coupon for 4 days of free travel by public transport system. It is valid from Sunday 25 August till Wednesday 29 August.
Beware of thieves and pickpockets! When travelling in Prague just as in other big capitals, take a great care of your belongings. Don't leave baggage unattended, in crowded transport systems beware of pickpockets.

Hotel Clarion is situated in a shopping mall – next to the hotel is also a food court, where you can eat at many different fast foods and restaurants.
Weather
At the end of August mild summer temperatures can be expected (25 to 30 degrees C), however, cool weather and occasional showers are possible, as well as hotter weather.
